- It's astonishing to hear anyone bad-mouth Obama over this. He's not a mere candidate now, he's the President of the entire country; and he is acting exactly the way we should hope and expect a good President to act.

- Better not to stoke any terrorist flames. The photos are on file for history. If we never hear from Bin Laden again, that proves he's gone.

- I think the biggest joke was that SNL made Palin sound lame by giving her distinctly unfunny lines and emphasizing her weaknesses. And she probably didn't even realize the joke was on her.

- Definitely Obama before and after. However, McCain's VP pick did get me to pay more attention to the Republican convention.

- The public should know everything about a candidate for this high an office, and it helps us understand McCain's approach and judgment.

- Michelle's speech was near perfect. Bill's was a close second, and he largely redeemed himself from past slights at Barack.
